Some people say to me that they can't imagine doing my job, but to me, I have the best job in the world. I enjoy the challenge of every new couple; getting to know them individually and within the context of their relationship. I get to see my clients' personal growth and witness real change happening right in front of me on a daily basis. Some of my biggest rewards come from (after a lot of hard work), watching as they turn towards each other with increased warmth, vulnerability and safety, to even sharing relaxed humour during their inevitable and healthy disagreements.
I admire the strength of character and courage it takes for people to participate in counselling. People have a sincere hope that counselling will help them and I honour and value the trust that is put in me.
I provide a personalised approach with each couple and each individual. My aim is to create an environment and working relationship that inspires the greatest possibility for understanding and change.
My therapy style is trauma informed, compassionate, collaborative and educational. I am non-judgmental, will listen and value what you have to say and what you would like to work through. All work done together is embarked upon with your best interests and preferences in mind.

My name is Louise Arthur (she/her), I am 41 years old and originally from Melbourne. I have been very privileged in my life to be able to travel as much as I have. Travelling has given me much to be proud of and to be grateful for.
I have had my own challenging life experiences that have led me to become a counsellor and have experienced a deep and long journey of counselling myself. I am fortunate to have a space in my house dedicated just to yoga, breathwork and meditation practice. I draw inspiration from spending time in nature and from the wonderful relationships in my life, including my best friend and husband of ten years.
