I will be forever grateful 🙏 to Louise for helping me to learn how to deal with my life issues. I feel I have achieved so much with her style of guidance and the literature she suggested I read and am able to now move on to the next stage of my life with a more positive mind set and the skills to work through issues that will arise. I would highly recommend Louise to anyone but especially if you want to put in the hard work. Thank you for providing such wonderful counselling so that people in similar situations to me, no family support, lack of money, physical and mental issues can avail ourselves of it. - Kate, 63 🌷
“My wife & I are in our late 50’s/early 60’s & met rather late in life and have now been married for about 5 years.
About a year or 2 ago our relationship slowly started heading in the wrong direction.
We realised that we needed some help to guide us back on the right path.
We still loved each other and wanted to stay together, so we searched for a counsellor within our region.
We found Riverfern Counselling in Gympie & started couples counselling with Louise Arthur in January 2026.
We both felt relaxed and ‘at ease’ with Louise & even though some of our sessions were emotionally challenging,
Louise created a safe & inclusive space for both of us to share and navigate.
Without going into detail, we regularly attended sessions for a full 4 months.
During that time Louise guided us through a program and journey of personal growth & revitalisation.
Every journey through life and experiences is very personal and uniquely different.
The outcome for us exceeded our expectations.
We propose to ‘check back in’ with Louise every from time to time as a refresher.
We would highly recommend any couple wanting to invest in their future to get in touch with Louise!
Thanks Louise and best wishes with the success and growth of the business”.

“My Husband and I made the decision to seek counselling as our relationship hit a point where we couldn’t communicate in a way that was productive. The best part of our counselling sessions was it was based around us as individuals as well as a unit.
I think coming to the realisation that we both had things we could improve on was a shift, also having the willingness to open up, be vulnerable, look inwards and be prepared to work on ourselves. Our sessions were our safe space to sit and talk, delve deeper into understanding why we were thinking a certain way. We laughed, cried and sometimes was given the time to sit in silence. All of these qualities that you showed us in our session created a space for us to feel safe and heard.
Counselling has influenced our day-to-day life by helping us realise that we need to leave room for communication and allow room for our partner to express themselves.
We use the tools you have taught us I would say daily. We will forever be grateful for your devoted time with us, your knowledge and the resources you shared and researched. It saved our marriage and our relationship has been so strong and solid since.
Onward and upward from here and looking into the future and setting goals knowing it was you who helped us get here. “
